OH AND HERE'S A SAMPLE:
A streak of light flashed from the heavens, the sound of roaring following close behind. Lili twitched and whimpered, hesitantly glancing to the window of her bedroom. Lili hated storms when Switzerland wasn’t around. He had always managed to make her feel calm, but due to the fact he was away, she was in a nervous wreck; tears forming in her eyes as she curled up into a small ball on her bed. The storm hadn’t reached her destination yet, but it was quite obviously announcing its upcoming arrival. “Onee-chan…” Lili exclaimed in fear, wishing with all her heart for him to be there by her side to protect her.
Switzerland had went off a few days ago, explaining to her he was going to be seeing an old friend; he was very secretive during the conversation, which worried Lili to no avail, knowing deep down this might not have been a friend of his at all. She insisted on going with him, but no matter how hard she tried, he denied letting her come. Instead, he promised everything was fine, and that she was just being paranoid, and that he would return to her as soon as he could. Figuring if he promised her, she would be able to trust him.
So here Lili was, days later, waiting patiently for him like a dog for its beloved owner. Even though he assured her he was going to be okay, a bad feeling haunted her, crying out to her that something wasn’t right. She squeaked from shock as more thunder echoed outside, hugging her arms tightly around her knees, her body trembling in fear.
Knock knock knock
Lili gasped and looked up, realizing there was someone at the door. She stood and slowly exited her room, journeying to the entrance of the house. Cracking the door open, she peeked out, seeing a uniformed man standing there with a bright smile. At his side was a gigantic bag filled with envelopes and small packages. The mailman? What’s he doing out with bad weather approaching?
“I have mail for you shrimp!” The mailman teased in a nice manner, handing her a small envelope. Everyone usually called her shrimp due to her height. She looked down, her face flushed a deep crimson red, hesitantly taking the letter. “Tha… Tha… Thank you…” She stuttered quietly. When Switzerland wasn’t with her… Lili just wasn’t the same. She panics, she’s a little anti social, and always hides away from society. For some reason, he always made her comfortable and confident, granting her the ability to socialize better with everyone, and to overall feel great about herself.
The mailman bid his goodbyes as he hurriedly left the house for the next one. She closed the door, walking away from it, letter in hand. She sat down on a nearby chair, glancing down at the envelope. Who could it be from? Flipping it over, she found the senders name in squiggly letters:
Vash Zwingly.
A huge smile decorated her face as she impatiently opened the letter, wondering what he was up to and if he was alright. Letter now in hand, she read it over with a joyful smile. However, it slowly faded. Moments after, her body was quivering as tears descended from her face and pattered onto the small piece paper.
To my Dearest little sister,
Everything’s fine here and I’m in good health, how are you?
I regret that this letter is so short; due to confidentiality I cannot release much information in case this letter falls into other hands. I hope life at school is going well and that you are getting along with the other students. I must end here, a conference is being called, I’ll write to you soon.

That’s it? Why was he being so distant? Had she done something to upset him? He’d always taken her to conferences before, what was so different this time? What kind of issue could be going on that he’d leave her so out of the loop? Did he not trust her anymore? Doubt filled the young girl as she doubled over.
No, she told herself as she whipped away the water staining her cheeks. She couldn’t cry over everything anymore, her brother wasn’t around to protect her right now; she had to be strong for Vash…
but more importantly for herself.
