Well do ya?
Welcome to Hetalia High. The name basically speaks for itself. But if you don’t think that it does, or maybe you want a little more of an explanation, then you’ve come to the right place.
As cliché as it sounds, this roleplay is one that takes our favorite Hetalia gang back a few years, into the prime of their teenage- dom. And like every teenager, attending high school is a requirement of the law. So of course the nations would never dare go against the rules made by their own bosses would they? Of course not.
St. Gaia Academy (Gaia meaning Earth) is a boarding school exclusive to the world’s nations. It was made specifically to train and mold the young countries into strong and powerful empires. In this school, the students are taught by their predecessors, founders, and even ancestors; the countries that have been around for a long time, that came to power through their own strength and cunning. They teach lessons about their own culture, and share what they have learned in their many years of fighting and thriving as a nation.
Though, while they have no choice but to attend school, no one says the students have to enjoy it. That’s where the students ‘real’ jobs come in; to relieve their own boredom, it’s only fitting that they come up with the proper game.
In St. Gaia, there is an ongoing tradition between the students; one that causes havoc and mayhem, not to mention headaches, throughout the school. In the mostly boy populated facility, it is not surprising that this tradition is a competition of strength and ability. Students form groups, or gangs, of at least three, each with their own name and color to represent them. In these groups they plot against, and try to outdo each other, each trying to prove that they are the strongest nations in the school. They all fight for the same prize, to claim the school’s territory, a property that is a safe haven for all nations, as their own, and the title that goes with it. While the Principal, Grandpa Rome, is oblivious to the student’s chaotic activities, and passes it off as ‘just children enjoying their youth’- an action that drives his Vice Principal, Germania crazy- there are some teachers that can no longer stand the noisy and disruptive activities. So, what better way to put the students in their place, then by beating them in their own game? After all, there is no rule saying only students could join, of course… that could be because there are no rules to begin with.
Then, there are the neutral countries, and though it seems to most that they are simply not interested in fighting, that’s not necessarily the case. While it is true that some of the neutral nations would rather not get involved, due to fear, or a hatred of fighting, other simply prefer to go solo.
In this school, anything goes, but if you don’t do what you’re told, there are heavy consequences.
