Yeah, you know the ones. Those things that make people talk funny hurrr hurr. :3
I really like them, I think they're fun to listen to.
no really!
My mom had the worst Korean accent, I thought it was kind of funny. We had like, I dunno some sort of wooded area behind our old house and she couldn't say "woods" instead she just said "ood"
x3 meheheh.
Yanno those people who are good a mimicking accents? Yeah.. I'm not one of those people. I'm so bad at it. I have like, a "Inland North" kind of accent. I pronounce things as they should be, and enunciate everything very carefully. Like, right out of the dictionary, kids. Nothing fancy. . 3.
Despite living in kind of the south-ish..? (I don't really consider where I live to be really "southern" but there are some rural areas that say otherwise...we're really more in the middle.. kinda. I live in KY, if you absolutely MUST know.) I cannot mimic a southern drawl. I've tried and sounded really stupid in the process.
I cannot mimic the different northern American accents, Jersey Boston, blahblah...You know. I can't mimic a British accent, a German accent or anything.. not really. I just can't do it! It's just like.. fail. I can't even really mimic an Asian accent very well.
There's only one accent that I can do really well, and that's a Russian accent. Which is really weird and totally left-field. But I can rock it. :D
I was talking to a friend I have in the UK, and she kept telling me how I talk so "American".. I didn't know what that meant. Because to me, she was the one with the fun accent. >w> The Latin teacher at school is Australian and he talks really fun. He's a nice guy too. and He has the Awesomest tie. omg. I know a few people with lisps, and I think those can be cute, actually. c:
Anyway, fun accents, lisps...whatever. Can you do dem? O:

Well I live in NY and I don't think I have an accent that would be expected like... a Brooklyn accent or a ghetto accent or something like that.
I love listening to accents though. I think their hot ><

I don't have any accents in my speech normally, but I sometimes slip into a British accent when I'm speaking. Overall, the way I speak is British like though I can get rid of it whenever I want. I am able to do an Australian accent...not very well though and all of my other accents are atrocious. Especially my southern drawl and German accent. I am able to mimic Asian accents pretty well, especially Japanese accents. When I speak in other languages though, I carry a heavy Japanese accent...especially with French though it generally sounds better than alot of my other classmates. My French accent is alright though I can only do it slightly. For the life of me though, I cannot mimic a lisp. D'':

Ehehe, I like doing lisps. It is absolutely fun, especially when talking to my friends. They're always telling me I sound like a child, although I can't see why. :> I have a friend of mine who is Korean, and she and I like to pronounce a LOT of things with an Asian accent, especially a Japanese accent. While we're actually trying to say "candle" it comes out as "kyandoru," "master" as "masuuta," etc. I admit sometimes we sound kind of awkward or funny. Cx When it comes to French accents, I pronounce it pretty well. Since here in Canada, Quebecois French has a different accent than Parisian French, and some words are different too. I've been speaking it for about 6 years, and if you learned French first before learning English, it's actually much easier. ;p Some of my classmates hate the language though, but I find it really cool. Speaking in a British accent is really fun too, but I sort of fail at it. During sleepovers with my friends, we have this little "tradition" where we speak in a British accent, sans the slang. One of my best friends is half Italian and half English, so she can say and pronounce them really well. I can learn from her.

My accent is closest to Texan (I'm from Utah, so think about a Texan accent with more nasal, less drawl). When I speak Spanish, my accent is pretty good. I took a dialect class in college (I was a theatre major LOL) and I can do British RP (Received Pronunciation) and Russian fairly well. I think the second one will serve me well when I cosplay Russia.

Oh, I cannot do a British accent to save my life O:
But surprisingly, I can do the Korean accent, coz being in an international school, i'm surrounded by koreans every single day XD and i can also do a vietnamese accent, thai, and esp. cambodian (i live here! XD) and of course, my own: FILIPINO. TEH SACRED FILIPINO ACCENT. *doubles over* It's kinda like Spanish... only it sounds better on Spanish people. XDD Ah, and I can do a chinese accent too, somehow. I am only good at mimicking asian accents, as I am surrounded by all sorts of asians everyday, and there aren't many white kids in the international school i go to O:
And as for European accents... I can do the French, but it SUCKS. And I can do the German pretty well... We had "The Diary of Anne Frank" play for last year, so I HAD to learn. XD But now, I think it somehow seeped into my speaking, as I still say some words with a slight German drawl O: Which kinda suits, since I play Austria XDD
As for lisps, my expertise ^.~ I like mimicking my canadian teacher in secret >D
